The staff was fanastic - so kind and friendly. Also the photos on the internet did not do the property justice. The property is newly renovated (modern amenities) with self-contained apartments. Its quaint, picturesque and everything you would love to experience in Tuscany. It was beautiful. There are walking trails close by and it is a one hour drive to Siena. It was the perfect escape for a long weekend. The outdoor pool is very well maintained and there is also a separate jacuzzi. The entire property is a working farm and they make their own olive oil and honey. If you want to get a away from it all - its the perfect place to relax and read a good book. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks for the wonderful time!
Bring all of the things you would bring to an apartment - dish soap, toilet paper and a few extra towels for the pool. Aside from a good book, that's all that you will need.

This was the perfect place to be, if you wanted to feel Italian rural life. A slightly castle-like farmhouse, with their own farming products, lovely environment and a nice and clean apartment to live in. Well-equipped kitchen. We also got a lovely farm meal from the landlord with very short notice. A perfectly lovely place, with enthusiastic staff.
Beware that the driving distances to food shops and restaurants are rather long.

The residence is wonderful. We didn't expect such a beautiful and wonderful place when we booked it so we were positevely surprised. The views, comfort were perfect. We stayd there 4 days...unfortunately not more. It was really hard to leave such an amazing place. The stuff was very friendly and we could have tried the best olive oil ever from the owner's plantation. I fully recomend this place in the heart of the Toscany!

The location of the hotel is great, just in the middle of small towns of the italian Toscana. We booked there because we wanted to visit Firenze and Siena (40 minutes by car). We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the place very much, taking advantage to walk in the surroundings, and enjoying the clean air of the place. In order to go to Firenze we decided to avoid the AutoStrade (we took the autostrada regional), so that being able to see the typical sights of the movies inspired in the Toscana (as Chocolate, with Juliette Binoche)
Maybe the only thing we did not like so much was the price of the food. First night we had dinner there, and I must say everything was fine (including the service of Patrizia, the person who run the place). It cost us 50 euros (we took only first plate, not like the Italian style of eating first and second. The complete meal would have cost 60 euros). Even though we liked the quality of the food, we thought it was a little expensive (in other places of Europe, like Nice or Barcelona, we managed to eat in good places for less than 45 euros). The second night we decided to eat in the city (Firenze), and eating in a fancy restaurant, we payed exactly the same, including tip).

Beautifully restored farmhouse, we stayed in a family apartment and it was lovely, so much better than being in a hotel. Charm and Tuscan feel of the building has been preserved, it was such a lovely place to stay. Gardens are gorgeous, the meals prepared lovely (we had breakfasts and one dinner). Great for the kids to experience a working farm and for parents to unwind in the countryside.
No internet - but probably a blessing really!

We are a family with 3 kids and had a fantastic time. Gorgeous location. Pat was great, friendly and a wonderful host. The apartment was big and comfortable. Excellent location for Tuscany, close to Florence, Siena, etc.

We were here for three nights with a wonderful supper the first night prepared using local and fresh ingredients. They prepare their own oil, which is the best that I have ever tasted, together with wine, meat products, honeys, jams et c. San Leo is located between Figline and Greve. The apartments are well furnished. We were in the redone tower apartment with two bedrooms (each with private bath) and two singles beds in the loft area. Our host was most generous and made us all feel at home. My only regret in writing this review is that too many others will discover this gem in the Tuscan hills.

The 5 nights at this farm was my favorite portion of our entire Italy trip. Coming from nyc, relaxation like this was just what I needed. The owner of the farm, Patricia, was always on hand to handle any matter big or small, as well as cooking us dinner on two of the nights. These meals contained food from the farm, both vegetables and meat, almost exclusively. We also met some really fun couples there, both of which we'll keep in contact with.
